1st Greek-Palestinian Economic Conference
Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Development organized the 1st Greek-Palestinian Economic Conference and simultaneously B2B meetings, in cooperation with the Federation of Greek-Palestinian Friendship & Cooperation, Friday, 9th November 2012, in Hilton Athens.
The purpose of the conference was to encourage the Greek business community to become open in the market of Palestine, which is a market with great potential and benefit from the presented opportunities in the region and also to enable Palestinian businessmen to explore investment opportunities in Greece, the potential for developing partnerships / joint venture with Greek counterparts, prospects and objectives of bilateral cooperation.
The main axes of discussions and presentations that took place at the conference included:
- Exploring investment opportunities in Greece at a glance in the investment law and the corresponding incentives.
- Tourism, real estate and the available opportunities which are the suitable background for direct and joint investments.
- Agriculture and Food Sector. This sector has taken remarkable proportions in terms of growth and progress in Greece, which incorporate it among the most advanced international industries. Under these excellent conditions, the conference looks forward to increasing available trade and investment opportunities.
- Renewable and sustainable energy. Greece is considered that has made great progress in this industry and its applications. The observer can see many direct and joint investments in this sector.
It is noteworthy that the Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development plays an active and ongoing role in developing and strengthening trade and economic relations between Greece and all Arab Countries, being the entity entrusted to organize the activities of this conference.
