OUR NEWS / NEW BUSINESS LOGIC FOR SMEs: ACCOUNTING AND FINANCING IMPLICATIONS

Members of the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Policy Committee, Theodor Stolojan (EPP) and Eva Kaili (S&D) have organized in Brussels a workshop entitled: “NEW BUSINESS LOGIC FOR SMEs: ACCOUNTING AND FINANCING IMPLICATIONS”.

The reason for organizing this conference has been the need for understanding markets and firms in today’s financialised world in both business and political economy terms, which requires analysis of new strategic management, finance and accounting tools, which can be demanding and organizationally challenging. Moreover, the gradual mentality-transformation of the European firms which slowly move from traditional bank financing solutions to capital markets financing, and the accompanying expansion of new tools that reduce both the cost of capital and the related transaction costs, poses questions about how the future capital markets will accelerate the materialization of the new business planning logic.

Based on the above, questions regarding how the future of capital markets can contribute to the implementation of the new logic of business planning were discussed. Executives of  SYNERGASIA Ltd." attended the workshop and have been informed about the business opportunities in alternative stock markets, changes in business models, the new type of financing markets, as well as tools such as VC and crowdfunding.
