The Cretan business delegation represented by the Prefect Mr. Stavros Arnaoutakis, Deputy Head, church representatives and businessmen of our country, were welcomed by the Vice President of the Ukrainian Government and the responsible representative of the Agricultural sector, Mr. Vr. Prysiazhniuk and the Prefect of Kiev Mr. Anatolii Prysiazhniuk.
Mr. Stavros Arnaoutakis, stressed that both sides make continuous efforts of enlargement of the economic cooperation between the regions of Kiev and Crete, and repeatedly thanked Mr. Anatolii Prysiazhniuk for the hospitality and love received the Cretan representatives all the days that the exhibition lasted.
The purpose of the exhibition was the promotion of Cretan agricultural products, tourism and Real Estate Services. Thousands of Ukrainians visited the exhibition, during which it is worth noting that were given more than 500 bags with the brand name “Crete” which had traditional products, as well as info tourist material for Crete.
The Managing Director and executives of “SYNERGASIA Ltd.” visited the exhibition, accompanying many of company’s customers, operating in the tourism and manufacturing industry, as well as producers of oil, wineries, hotels, and above all supporting those businesses in B2B meetings held at the exhibition, to promote and export their products in Ukraine.
During the exhibition a very positive climate for Cretan exports and tourism was created while major trade agreements were done and signed relevant contracts. In particular, it is noted that the most important event that sealed the success of the exhibition was the fact that the agreements related to Cretan products are of major importance for the Cretan economy and development of the primary sector, such as olive oil, wine, herbs, currants' etc. Furthermore, it was found once again that the country's tourism market has 'opened' as it is expected a larger number of Ukrainian tourists arrivals in Crete in 2014.
