10th HORECA Exhibition & Trade Show

“SYNERGASIA Ltd.” visited the 10th HORECA Exhibition, which took place 6-9th February 2015 in Metropolitan Expo, Athens.

Complementing ten years, the unique international exhibition in our country for Hotels and Foodservice, managed to overcome its already high record. This time, it was noted growth of 26% to all visitors, with the professionals from the entire range of Food and Tourism Industries to exceed the number of 130.000!

The exhibition admittedly has developed into a focal annual meeting point for the entire Food and Hotel Industries in Southeastern Europe.

Impressive were the various events that took place during the exhibition, including:

  1. HORECA Beer & Spirits Show. Within enthusiasm, involving tens bartenders from all over Greece, with surprises and interesting twists, was completed Monday evening on February 9th, the Beer & Spirits Show, which stood out particularly master classes and seminars by qualified professionals, who emphasized the new international trends and the Mediterranean and Greek raw materials.
  2. Future Hotel on the Web. More than 20 companies engaged in providing electronic services for hotels (e-hotel marketing, online booking, mobile applications, etc.) and hotel management, were present at “Future Hotel on the Web” event with interesting suggestions and presentations of successful case studies abroad.
  3. Coffee Championships. The high level of expertise and professionalism that distinguishes the Greeks baristas was confirmed at this year's National Coffee Championships, while the winners highlighted in the context of this event will represent our country in relevant international organizations.
  4. International Gastronomy Forum. A specially designed area in the Exhibition hosted the International Gastronomy Forum and flooded by chefs and professionals of Food Industry, who watched with interest the competitions and master classes that were held in this year's program of events. Excellent exhibits were presented made by materials such as sugar, butter, candy and chocolate, while a prominent position in the program during the four days held the project “GReat Kouzina”, which is organized in the last two years by the Chefs Club of Greece.
  5. Greek Breakfast. During the exhibition, at the stand of "Greek Breakfast" in HALL 4, were presented breakfasts from Zakynthos, Lefkada, Fokida, Laconia, Epirus, Imathia and Sifnos. All presentations attracted many visitors who were amazed by the great variety of local products.

Organizers’ next goal is the internationalization of the exhibition and the “opening” of it to the neighboring countries to attract foreign buyers in an effort to strengthen the extroversion of Greek Suppliers for hotels and foodservice companies.
